Backyard Fitness offers a variety of semi-private kid-friendly workout classes for moms and dads at any level of fitness and at any stage of parenthood. 

The cornerstone class of the Backyard Fitness programming is the Exercise Playdate.  This class is designed for, but not limited to, women bringing with them their babies, toddlers, and pre-school-age children.  With an emphasis on "functional fitness" for moms, fundamental strengthening exercises are combined with yoga-based flow segments to create a fun, challenging, balanced, regimend that improves physical fitness in all four of the critical areas for overall health and well-being: aerobic endurance, muscular strength, flexibility, and balance.  The social time that Backyard Fitness provides and encourages is crucial to emotional and mental health as well.  And although our classes are for adults, the children accompanying their parents also enjoy their own exercise-filled playdate and learn the importance of daily exercise by watching their first and most important teachers and role models, mom and dad!
